For all you baseball fans (and especially in light of Deven’s recent post) I can’t resist passing along this viral video that has been making the rounds about Dock Ellis’ dubious distinction of having pitched a no-hitter while under the influence of LSD.

Probably the most amazing sport achievement of all time gven the massively performance decreasing aspect of what he was taking.

I beg to differ: in some cases (i.e., in some instances and for some individuals) LSD can facilitate the attainment of both a heightened state of awareness and an acute form of concentration, which it appears to have done in this instance (thus, a performance-enhancing drug for some individuals).
