Replevin for a cow, but what cow?

I was recently at the general store adjoining the winery at Ulupalakua Ranch, and I saw this sign on the wall. It reminded me of Sherwood v. Walker, which I (like most contracts professors) end up teaching at some point during the semester. If anyone knows if the story has appeared elsewhere in print (I found only a few hits on google), please let me know in the comments so I can get the attribution right.
