Now all of that is not meant as a negation of the need for affirmative action. racism does exist, even today, and thus to the extent that racism does exist affirmative action is justified to correct it. But when someone argues for affirmative action as a form of reparations, then they are wrong. It comes down to this. The only relevance of race is the existance of racism.
