Dispatch From AALS
posted by Danielle Citron
True to form, AALS was a terrific opportunity to connect offline with colleagues whose work we enjoy online. Special thanks to Indiana University Maurer School of Law–Bloomington for kindly sponsoring the Concurring Opinions/Prawfsblawg/Empirical Legal Studies Blog Happy Hour. Dan Markel and Dan Solove did a tremendous job putting the event together, and, by all accounts, it was a great success. Later in the week, I hope to blog more about the conference, in particular the Defamation and Privacy section’s terrific panel on the intersection between Immigration and Privacy.

I commented on this on Prawfsblawg, so I’ll do it here as well.
1, Shouldn’t law profs buy their own drinks?
2, Is getting law profs liquored up an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars, student tuition and alum donations?
3. Does the school really think alums will forget about this the next time they send out a letter requesting donations?
