		<description>Hi,

I would want to know that it planned to be a good steward of that donation. Almost every college student has this sort of debt, because at most places not even full tuition covers the total cost of an education.

		<description>If I had given $50 million to Harvard in February, I would be hopping mad to hear that the school has gone and lost the equivalent of 160 such donations in the last four months alone. If I were considering a gift to a university, I would want to know that it planned to be a good steward of that donation. Universities with hyper-aggressive investment strategies don&#039;t qualify as good stewards, in my book.

		<description>&lt;i&gt;The gap between what higher education costs and what students actually pay may soon be seen as more symbolic of the runaway costs of higher education than of an institution’s generosity towards its students.&lt;/i&gt;

At some point the costs of this education as compared to the benefit and the effectiveness of delivery may cause a re-assessment. Much of what is done by colleges now using what is possibly the worst teaching method could be done much more cost effectively on-line. Law schools seem peculiarly ineffective and expensive at the same time.

		<description>I think this absolutely true. I hope to one day give to my undergraduate college and law school, but my wife objects because she says (correctly) that we have gone into a good deal of debt to pay tuition and why would the school need any more money. Many of my law schools friends have expressed the sentiment that tuition is high enough that they hope never to have to give the school another dime.
