		<description>Though lots of IP luminaries backed Obama, I don&#039;t think there will be a big break from the past in patent/copyright policy.  But the extraordinary efforts of Fox to smear him may lead him to follow-up on net neutrality pledges and other media regulation.  The Fox fusillade was almost reassuring to me, given that it suggested that Obama did not pursue a Tony Blair-style rapprochement with Murdoch.

In health care financing and regulation--this is a massive change.  It&#039;s largely administrative law, and the president has great power over that (provided he&#039;s willing to use it). We&#039;re switching from an administration that bent over backward to deny health insurance to *kids* to one that wants to insure everyone.  The biggest follies of CDHC will go into abeyance for at least 4 years, too.  All in all, a fantastic result.
