		<description>Wow I cannot believe this but I will be defending Bill Clinton.  The deregulation that you speak of did not have anything to do with the current meltdown.  I need to let you in on something, the mortgage market is not entirely free because the government is involved.  I am talking about GSEs (Government Sponsored Entities – Fannie Mae &amp; Freddie Mac).  In 2004 the Senate banking and finance committee took up GSE reform. On a side note McCain voted for this reform while Obama did his typical voting – present.
