From Saxelby Cheese Mongers:

Lazy Lady Farm Barick Obama (pasteurized cows’ milk. Westfield, VT)

Laini’s done it again. And this time to a Democrat. This little brick o’ cheese is a decadent treat. Smells like asparagus! For real! And tastes just as buttery and funky as can be.

Yes folks, the cheese exists (a friend of mine bought some is the source of the picture). The rest is April Fool's fodder. I have no idea whether it is a mistake, a reference to the gold mining company, or a play on words.

My guess is that it's very smooth at first when you eat it, but it's actually substance-free (like a rice cake) and it sits in your system for about four years and makes you regret buying it in the first place. It's probably actually tofu mislabeled as cheese.

Though it's hard to fault people for preferring it over the alternatives. McCain Gouda is well aged and has a strong flavor, but it's a bit past its peak and should have been eaten about 8 years ago. It's also been sitting in the refrigerator next to the Bush Velveeta/Limburger blend and is starting to smell a bit too much like that, so try it now at your own risk.

No one's quite sure what Hillary cheese is--it's ambiguously labeled and tries to be all things to all people. The "since 1992" label gives an air of reputation and respectability, and it's popular in New York, but no one's really sure why. You keep intending to throw it out, but somehow it manages to stay in the refrigerator until August or so when you're practically forced to throw it out.

My guess is that it's a brick cheese, and they were trying to be clever.

Isn't Barak's name spelled wrong? Looks like Barick Obama to me.
