How Did Obama Pass His Character and Fitness Evaluation?

When this issue was outstanding?
(Yes, I know this is old news, and you can’t park anywhere near HLS without getting a ticket, so I don’t begrudge the fines. But I was told when completing my Bar application that the one thing they always insist on is paying back tickets.)

Whoever told you that was crazy. I had (and, now that I think about it, still have) about 20 unpaid parking tickets when I passed my character/fitness and got admitted.

Perhaps Anon.#1 was admitted to a less exacting (on parking tickets, anyway) bar. The WA state bar held up my admission over unpaid parking tickets. Ditto the employment application process of the US DoJ for a similarly ticketed roommate – although I believe that roommate’s problems were only with the DoJ and not the CA bar.
