		<description>If you look beyond it&#039;s obvious larger social and historical interest, though, that is a pretty good description of the _Diary of Anne Frank_ as a piece of writing.  Many people don&#039;t like to accept that, of course, but if it were somehow possible to put the same basic writing in a different, less horrible setting the book would be seen as having no value at all.
