		<description>I&#039;ve actually looked into this in more detail, and the VA is a model for reducing MRSA.  What&#039;s most upsetting about the rates of nosocomial infections is that the vast majority of them could be prevented if simple hygience procedures were actually followed.

However, it should be noted that the rates of MRSA infections acquired outside the hospital and then brought in by patients is also increasing, which is itself a troubling sign.
