Both the paper topic ("New Law Faculty as Catalysts for Change") and the annual meeting's theme ("Reassessing Our Roles in Light of Change") are funny examples of conference-licious vacuity. AALS really seems to go in for this tone. My suggestion for next year's conference topic: "Existence and the Legal Academy: Difference within Unity." OK, I’ll say it.
