This just in from the Department of Unintended Irony

Pundit Lou Dobbs criticizes “the mainstream media” for what he calls complicity in hiding problems relating illegal immigration. In a piece titled “Big media hide truth about immigration,” Dobbs argues:
The mainstream media are complicit in advancing this thinly veiled blanket amnesty. Instead of asking and answering important questions about why our immigration laws aren’t being enforced and why we’re permitting pervasive document fraud, the national media seem hell-bent on trying to obfuscate the issue, shamelessly playing with language, equating legal immigration with illegal immigration while obviously trying to preserve the illusion of objectivity.
And how was it that I happened to be reading Dobbs’ essay?

Kaimi, great minds must think alike. I read Dobbs’ editorial earlier today and had precisely the same thought. In fact, I almost blogged about it — but Miss America won out in the battle of the blog posts.

I fail to see the point, since the MSM includes many more sources than CNN, and others at CNN have criticized Dobbs, who only has one show there.
If you look through my archives you’ll find hundreds of examples of the bias Dobbs discusses from the rest of the MSM including major papers and the networks. Just one recent example at the link.

Lou Dobbs is mad as hell, and he’s not going to take it any more!

Melissa,
I’m happy to hear that I’m at least able to partially emulate your brilliance. And you’re right, Miss America is definitely more interesting (and better looking!) than Lou Dobbs.
Help,
Sure, the MSM includes other sources, most of which have their own conservative commentators. Dobbs’ rant was particularly funny since he painted with a very broad brush that included the very forum he was using to speak.
