A song for Brian Leiter.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Progressive, prolific, and Texan is he,
If rankings on law schools be something you wish
Then send him a link, and flop like a fish

Or maybe this is just a satiric way to honor Leiter’s request to link to his rankings site. Ever thought of that?

Some days I wish I lived in a pineapple under the sea. Pineapples are awesome.

Dear commenters,
I’ve just deleted half a dozen obnoxious “Brian Leiter stinks” comments. I’ll continue to delete such comments if they appear.
I know that Brian Leiter posts things that people disagree with from time to time. I’ve disagreed with him sometimes in blog posts before, and will probably disagree with him again at some point in the future.
However, I’m a reader of his blog, and he asked his readers to send a link. I was happy to do so. Because I was a few days late to the party, I tried to make my link a little different than the usual “Brian Leiter asked for a link.” That’s all — this post itself isn’t meant as any kind of covert “Leiter stinks” statement, and those kinds of comments will be zapped if they appear.
Thanks!

Best post ever. Extra points for finding a way to fulfill Brian’s “could you please link to leiterrankings.com” request in a non-boring way.

“Brian Leiter stinks”? That’s quite a misreading of my comment, which just made the patently obvious point that Leiter must be anxious to displace the obnoxious “Academic Thugs” site from the first page of Google results for “Brian Leiter.” (OK, I also expressed a wee bit of skepticism that “many readers” are really emailing Leiter to complain that they had to go all the way to the second page of Google results to find his ranking site — who the hell sends an email about that kind of thing?)

At least on my google search, the ranking site isn’t on the 2nd or the 3rd page or even by the 9th page (I gave up). The simple solution, for those who know, is to search Leiter Law Ranking. But I guess not everyone knows.

Can’t say anything critical of Brian Leiter on this site! Wow.

One has to wonder just what the deleted posters said. It’s hard to believe that all they did was hurl crude insults at Leiter.
Yes, your post is different from the usual Brian Leiter asked for a link, but it’s different in the sense that it comes across as anti-Leiter. I could see it only as being ironic.
