		<description>Interesting stuff, Dave. If it catches on, it&#039;s a fun development -- it&#039;ll be something to keep an eye on. In any case, I signed up for your list.

Also, I didn&#039;t know you majored in Archeology. And a decent synonym for pathbreaking (depending on the context) would be pioneering.

		<description>&quot;Big picture issues: (1) the ultimate success of services like this one will make it harder for law reviews to sell their catalogues, meaning that current students will need, ever more, to the foot the bill for the production of legal scholarship; (2) a bigger, cheaper, pipe demands more, though not necessarily better, content; and (3) these two trends can&#039;t work together forever.&quot;

&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Absolutely 100% correct. The BEpress business model (and to a lesser extent the SSRN business model) is not sustainable in the long term (making your business depend almost entirely on the business of other organizations, even non-profit ones, is never a good idea). Features like this, while nice, are just going to accelerate their eventual demise. Unless BEpress makes some truly major changes in how they do business, I truly cannot see them continuing to even maintain their current profits indefinitely.
