Taney chair: the Georgetown University Law Center doesn't have one, but into the 1930s it did commemorate him, doubtless because the founders of the law school in 1870 were, like Taney, white Marylanders, Democrats, and the scions of slave-holding families. See the symposium issue of the Georgetown Law Journal 24 (May 1936). On that Roger B.
