Andrew Raff has a funny post about how anonymous bloggers are striking it rich with their blogs. After discussing David Lat’s (aka A3G) story as well as others, Raff writes:
Here’s the short lesson:
Step 1. Write a funny anonymous blog.
Step 2. ???
Step 3. Profit.
Perhaps Juan Non-Volokh of the VC is working on a six-figure book deal as we speak.

I have a friend who got a book deal out of her somewhat-anonymous blog, and may even have a second book deal in the works. It’s getting more common by the day.

Apparently my efforts collecting underpants was not the only way to make a profit.

I know several peoeple who blog and profit from them in various ways (ad revenue, networking, marketing, popularity, etc.)
