Telephone Menu Cheat Sheet
posted by Daniel Solove
You call a company and you want to speak with a human. Instead, you get one touchtone menu after the other, and it seems impossible to find out how you can just talk to a person. There’s usually always a way — but it can take quite a lot of time to discover it. Now, someone has created a handy cheat sheet for how to quickly navigate these menus to reach a human. Good stuff.

I seem to recall some hack politician proposing a law that would have required all businesses to incorporate a mandatory initial “Press _ to speak to a human being” option into their telephone systems.
So much for the business judgment rule.

I have some success at swearing horribly at the voice-activated ones, and pressing all the buttons in frenetic and random fashion on the others.

I cannot pull up the “cheat sheet”. I get a “quick base error” message. Do you have another link?
