		<description>Not to sound like a knee-jerk liberal, but isn&#039;t the lack of symmetrical privacy a large part of the PATRIOT act complaints?  In particular, it&#039;s assymetrically private for the government to ask, say, a library for my information and not allow me to know they&#039;re asking.

To disclaim: I&#039;m not making a statement one way or the other on the merits of those arguments, just drawing an analogy.
